About Kate

Kate Wolman has spent more than thirty years training people to use their computers and technological equipment more effectively. She works with entrepreneurs, small business owners, even teens and senior citizens to remove the frustration of technology. In addition to Kate’s patience and humor, she provides detailed written instructions to every client after their traininKate at Laptopg session so that they know exactly what to do even when she’s not there sitting beside them gently coaching them along.

Kate developed her unique training method while working as technical support manager for a software developer. She was the IT person at the other end of the phone, but unlike many, she was a beacon of calm in the frantic world of computing. Later as part of a help desk team that supported 300 sales reps nationwide (primarily over the phone), Kate learned to “see” problems and solve them without even being there.

Even though Kate was able to solve many problems virtually, she much prefers to sit side-by-side with her clients so that she can provide them with exactly the style of instruction and type of information they need. As the owner of her own business for more than 20 years, Kate is Windows and Apple Mac proficient, and has deep expertise in all things Microsoft Office-related (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
